At The Rare & OOP DVDs Store, we guarantee all items are in stock. We do not drop ship our items, nor offer pre-sales. The DVDs we list in our store are in our possession with custom description for each item.

This is a boutique store which caters to collectors of the rare and out of print DVD. These range from first editions, boxed sets, limited editions and store exclusives. Due to the nature of the collectible item, the prices are at a premium varying on the demand, rarity, acquisition costs and marketplace activity.

We define rare as a DVD that is not easily found in stores, and this could range from small run DVDs to limited editions to store exclusives. A rare DVD does not presume it is discontinued by the studio.

We define out of print (OOP) as that which is no longer being manufactured by a particular studio. While at times DVDs come back into print, they are usually of a different kind, either because of studio or edition. Many DVD's that do not come back into production, the demand of the public is greater than the quantity available, thus at a premium cost.

We guarantee that all items listed are authentic Region 1 NTSC DVD, officially licensed for US/Canada consumer to be played on a US/Canada DVD player. There are no bootlegs, asian imports, grey market or other region DVDs. It is true that some companies encode Region 0, All Region or Region Free DVDs, however, it should be understood these are NTSC formatted (National Television System Committee - generally speaking, it is a standard for use on American television, while Europe uses PAL and Asia uses SECAM).

We, at The Rare & OOPs Store, are guaranteeing trust in our customers, a guess-free shopping experience where you know exactly what you are getting, the condition you will receive it in, and the version you have purchased, without the worry of whether or not it will be in stock. If it is listed and offered, then we have it. Sales will be based on a first come, first serve basis. Inventory is always limited and what we have now will, more than likely, not be available soon.
